Javea, a little further away!

Javea is a fishing village that has become a major tourist destination on the Costa Blanca.  Javea is situated roughly between Calpe and Denia.

The old center of Javea is not directly near to the water, but about one mile inland. Here, in the old narrow streets are beautiful buildings like the church of Sant Bartomeu and the Chapel of Santa Anna. Who wants to visit the old town of Javea should be aware that a parking place can’t be easy to find.

The port Duane del mar consists of two parts: the marina and fishing port. In the morning the fishing boats come ashore to bring the freshly caught fish to the fish market.

The entire coast of Javea is about three miles long. The main beach of Javea’s Arenal (Platja de l’Arenal)is a sandy beach with a promenade with many restaurants, cafes and shops. On the beach it is possible to rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

Near to Javea you’ll find beautiful nature. The ‘Montgo’ offers a beautiful view over Javea and has a height of 753 meters. Also partly this mountain ensures that wind and bad weather can’t come to Javea. On clear days y ou can Ibiza which is 90 kilometeres away.

On Thursday it’s possible to visit the market in the old town. This can be reached by bus from the busstation in Benidorm.
